Sources & Verification

This page explains which sources we prefer, how we label uncertainty and which claims require re-verification.

Source Hierarchy

  1. Primary public authorities for general security, fraud and consumer-protection guidance.
  2. Platform/operator documentation for pricing, terms, account features and service-specific policies.
  3. Direct observation for visible interface and category structure.
  4. Secondary commentary only when it adds context and can be cross-checked.

Time-Sensitive Claims

Pricing, room availability, payment methods, product features and policies can change quickly. When those details matter, we prefer to verify them on the operator’s current site and record a review date.

What a Date Means

“Updated” means the editorial page was reviewed or materially revised on that date. It is not a guarantee that every third-party feature remained unchanged afterward.

Uncertainty

If we do not have reliable data for a numerical popularity, traffic, income or growth claim, we avoid publishing the number. Qualitative trend analysis is labeled as such.
